Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Support operational end users and stakeholders by delivering a Material Master and Vendor database that is concise, effective and in accordance with the MMG Business strategy.
- Work with sites to understand their requirements and help deliver this in line with company objectives and processes.
- Research historical trends and incorporate data to meet current requirements.
- Maintain a catalogue that is comprehensive in scope, whilst still being user friendly to suppliers and end users alike.
- Assist in controlling costs by analysing effective operational levels of materials across all sites.
- Load and manage outline agreement data including pricing updates, and work with Supply Chain to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the information maintained in the system.
- Provide professional support in transactional and procedural processes.
- Assist end users with troubleshooting solutions to meet their individual business requirements.
- Effective interaction with Suppliers and manufacturers to obtain relevant, defining information to manage material master and vendor databases.
- Assist in development and implementation of Inventory standards and Procedures.

Identify and Assess efficacy of current processes and recommend cost reduction opportunities.

Ensure correspondence with Suppliers is in a manner that promotes an excellent business reputation for MMG throughout
our supplier base.

Actively participate in all departmental activities, including skills training, departmental communications or toolbox meetings
and any other activities as required by supervisor.

Participate in continuous improvement strategies in relation to the inventory, vendor and services database.

Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience working in master data management with Mining or large organization.
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgement, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Previous experience working in warehouse, inventory, data management and project management.
Education & Qualifications
- A degree qualification in either Inventory control or Warehousing and Distribution, or any related areas.
