Rosebery is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in Tasmania, Australia. The mine is a deep, sub-level open stoping operation with complex mining conditions.
The Rosebery Mine has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since 1936 and is one of Tasmania’s largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold doré.
We now have exciting opportunities available for Apprentices to join the Maintenance team onsite at MMG Rosebery.
We are looking for persons interested in completing one of the following qualifications:
Cert III Mobile Plant Technology (Heavy)
Cert III Engineering, Mechanical Trade
As part of the Apprenticeship program, you will learn and develop specific skills related to your chosen trade or industry. You will also participate in activities that enhance self and team-development giving you life-long employment skills that stand up in any workforce. Rosters are trade and industry specific. Remuneration will include a competitive, market-based salary + superannuation.
Successful candidates will:
- Gain a nationally recognised qualification through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
- Enjoy an on-the-job learning experience coupled with a structured training programme
To be considered, you will have:
- An unwavering commitment to safe work practices
- A high level of motivation and strong work ethic
- Commitment to learning and development coupled with a positive attitude
- A genuine interest in your chosen trade
- Ability to pass a Police Clearance, Pre employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screening.
- A school-based apprenticeship will be advantageous, but not essential
Only candidates with current fulltime work rights within Australia will be considered.
